How to Create Free Video Presentations Using AI
I created professional explainer video in 5 minutes (and you can too)
You know that feeling when you KNOW you should be creating video content, but the thought of scripting, filming, editing—all of it—makes you want to crawl under your desk and hide?
Yeah. Me too.
I’ve stared at my phone camera more times than I care to admit, frozen by the pressure of getting it “perfect.” And don’t even get me started on the hours I’ve wasted trying to edit videos that still ended up looking... well, mediocre.
But here’s what changed everything: I discovered that Google has this insanely powerful AI tool that’s been quietly sitting there, totally free, while most of us have been stressing over expensive video software and complicated workflows.
It’s called Notebook LM. And today I created a complete explainer video on how to create LinkedIn carousel posts in FIVE MINUTES.
Not five hours. Five. Minutes.
Let me show you exactly how.
What You’ll Be Learning
In this tutorial, I’m walking you through how to use Notebook LM to transform research, documents, or even just a topic idea into a polished video overview. No filming yourself. No video editing software. No technical skills required. No cost.
You’ll learn how to take dense information, whether it’s your own content or research the AI finds for you, and turn it into digestible, professional video content that actually connects with your audience.
The Tool You’ll Be Using
Notebook LM is Google’s AI research and content synthesis tool, and honestly? It’s seriously underrated.
Here’s why it’s different from ChatGPT or Claude:
It’s designed specifically to digest and synthesize large volumes of information, like marketing trends, industry reports, your own course materials, whatever you need, and then transform that research into ready-to-use content.
The best part? It works primarily off what YOU give it, which means way less AI hallucination and fluff. It’s grounded in your actual sources, staying aligned with what you’re trying to say.
And did I mention it’s FREE? If you have a Google account, you already have access.
Steps to Creating Your Video
Here’s the simple process I used:
Create a new notebook in Notebook LM (just click “Create a notebook” when you log in).
Add your sources - You can upload PDFs, Google Docs, slides, web pages, URLs, transcripts, audio files... basically anything. OR you can ask it to search the web for sources (which is what I did for my LinkedIn carousel video shown above).
Let it gather information - Notebook LM will pull from multiple sources (mine used seven different sources) to create a comprehensive overview.
Choose your output format - Here’s where it gets fun. You can create:
Video overviews (what I did)
Audio overviews (podcast-style)
Mind maps
Flashcards
Infographics
Slide decks
Quizzes or reports
Generate and download - Click your chosen format, wait a few minutes, and boom — you’ve got professional content ready to use!
The whole process took me less time than it takes to make a cup of coffee.
Who This AI Tool Is Ideal For
This is PERFECT for you if:
You’re drowning in research but struggling to turn it into usable content. Whether you’re creating course materials, summarizing internal documents, making presentations, studying for your next exam, or building out coaching programs—Notebook LM helps you organize and synthesize information fast.
You need to create video content, but hate being on camera? These AI-generated explainer videos are professional, clear, and require zero filming on your part.
You’re working with a tight budget. Did I mention it’s free? Because it bears repeating: THIS TOOL IS FREE.
You want to repurpose content across multiple formats. Take one set of research and turn it into videos, audio, study guides, infographics, whatever your audience needs.
Oh, and Notebook LM allows you to experiment with different formats and styles. So, the video I created? I could go back and create different versions of the same videos.
If, like most people, you’re tired of AI tools that give you generic fluff, check out Notebook LM. Because it grounds itself in your specific sources, you get content that actually reflects your message and expertise.
Here’s the thing:
Creating content doesn’t have to feel like such a grind. Tools like Notebook LM exist to handle the heavy lifting so you can focus on what you do best, connecting with your audience and sharing your expertise.
You don’t need to be a tech wizard. You don’t need a huge budget. You just need to be willing to try something new and trust that you’re capable of figuring it out as you go.
Because you are.
So, here’s your assignment: Go create ONE video with Notebook LM this week. Pick any topic you’ve been wanting to explain to your audience. Upload some sources (or let it research for you). Hit generate. And watch the magic happen.
Then come back and tell me how it went. I want to hear ALL about it.
